The main auditorium has tiered seating for 492 patrons and a 14-metre stage with a proscenium arch and flytower. Other features include an orchestra pit to accommodate up to 46 musicians, a Yamaha concert grand piano, in-house audio loop, ample dressing room space and convenient backstage loading bay. The stage is masonite over a sprung hardwood floor.
Our generous main stage converts into a studio theatre utilising retractable seating accommodating up to 200 people and utilitises all of the on-stage technical facilities.
The Fountain Room has a large flat parquetry floor and is suitable for exhibitions, trade displays, conventions and meetings. This space can also be divided into two smaller areas, with each having its own entrance.
Wedding receptions are also ideally suited to this area and up to 150 people can be accommodated banquet style with a dance floor.
The West Gippsland Arts Centre has a full liquor licence and restaurant and wine bar providing a range of menu options.
Restaurant hours vary according to seasons (click link for current hours) as well as before and after performances or by private booking. A baby grand piano is available in this area. A deck with outdoor furniture and umbrellas overlooking parkland allows alfresco dining when weather permits.
The Boardroom is situated off the main foyer and separated from the restaurant by acoustic folding doors, giving your function total privacy. Ideal for a small meeting of up to 15 people theatre style or 10 people board room style and conveniently situated for catering.
An ideal area for art, photographic and craft exhibitions featuring two exhibition walls with a gallery hanging system and lights to enhance displays. The Exhibition Foyer is also the perfect space for cocktail parties and pre-dinner drinks.
All spaces have their own atmosphere, with advanced lighting and communication systems and an in-house team of technicians to offer support if required.
Included with the hire of all spaces is a lectern, overhead projector, screen, flip chart board, electronic whiteboard and colour television with VCR and DVD player. Other specialist equipment including laptops, data projectors and rear projection screens, is available for hire.
